PRIORFIELD offers luxury Bed & Breakfast accommodation with a personal touch, in the picturesque Roman Village of Corbridge in the heart of the beautiful Northumberland countryside, steeped in history, very close to the' award winning' market town of Hexham, a short drive to Hadrian's Wall, and 18 miles west of Newcastle upon Tyne. The Hadrian's Wall Path is accessible from our gate.

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at our elegantly furnished Edwardian family house with many interesting original features set in half an acre of mature gardens. Priorfield B&B is in a peaceful and secluded location, yet only a few minutes walk into the historical village centre and River Tyne walks with a whole range of independent shops (including the popular 'RE' retro shop) excellent pubs, tea rooms, saxon church & beautiful riverside setting.

You will be able to relax and unwind in one of our individually designed, spacious and elegantly furnished bedrooms. Both rooms have extremely comfortable beds, quality feather pillows, thermostatically controlled radiators, digital TV, free Wi-Fi access, tea and coffee making tray with tasty treats, and overlook the mature leafy gardens with an amazing weeping willow & copper beech tree.

Our hearty Northumbrian breakfast is taken round our antique yew wood communal dining table, using fine china, in our elegant dining room with cosy woodburning stove on those chilly mornings. Fresh local produce is used whenever possible. Again for 2012 - a breakfast 'egg cup' award which we are very proud of.

The village of Corbridge has an abundance of excellent restaurants, pubs & tea rooms for lunch, dinner or light snacks, individual shops & picturesque River Tyne walks, all within easy walking distance of our front door.An excellent base for a contrasting week of culture, outdoor activities, wildlife, national trust or english heritage properties.

 If you are walking Hadrian's Wall why not base yourself here at Priorfield for the middle section. That way you don't have to pack up every morning or unpack each evening and you save on luggage transfers too! Abandon your car on our drive and catch the AD122 bus up to the wall or walk from our door along quiet paths & country road via Halton Castle onto the military road near Portgate. Take one of Priorfield's delicious packed lunches with you and when you find a beatiful view to enjoy, you can relax, rest those weary feet and have some 'energy boosting' snacks to munch on!
