 Walk to Portgate up on the Military Road to join The Hadian's Wall National Trail.

Walk to Hexham with it's wonderful Abbey & winner of Farmers Market, via the River Bank.

Walk to Aydon Castle ( Open Wednesday - Sunday during Summer months)

Walk along the River Bank to Riding Mill (could catch local No 10 bus to return)
